July 10 2020, this day will surely be written down in history books as it marked the day when 70 representatives vote to deny ABS-CBN a fresh 25-year franchise. This decision has crushed ABS-CBN's employees and its supporter's heart as they were once again denied to air on free TV. This has ultimately enraged the people who have been fighting for the network since day 1.

On the said day when votation took place, ABS-CBN employees and supporters held a caravan from ABS-CBN compound to the House of Representatives. Some celebrities showed up at the caravan including Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce. After it has been official that they were denied the franchise, Kapamilyas did not left ABS-CBN and held a solidarity event in Mother Ignacia.

At the solidarity event, Angel Locsin calls for unity amongst her colleagues in the biz for them to speak up. "Sa dami ng gusto kong sabihin hindi ko alam kung anong uunahin ko. Sa dami ng nararamdaman ko ngayon hindi ko alam kung papano isisigaw pero ang alam ko lang ito yung panahon para hindi tayo manahimik, ito yung panahon na hindi tayo dapat magwatak-watak. Ipakita natin kung anong relevance ng industriya na'to; na hindi lang tayo basta entertainment na gumagawa ng mga tiktok, o gumagawa ng kung anong pang-entertain, may relevance tayo. Ipakita natin kung anong epekto 'pag nagkaisa ang mga taga industriya; taga news, taga OPM, mga artista, at part ng entertainment industry, nakikiusap po ako. Now is the time! Gamitin natin yung boses natin sa tama."

The actress also stressed the fact that in the past 12 hearings, it has been proven that the network did not violate the law backed up by the statements of concerned government agencies. "Naniniwala rin ako na ang isang kumpanya na may magandang hangarin para makatulong sa ating mga kababayan lalo na sa gitna ng isang pandemya ay kailangan na kailangan natin. Hindi ko man naiintindihan kung bakit tayo umabot sa ganitong sitwasyon, kung bakit sa testimonya ng mga ilang ahensya ng government natin na sinabi na walang nilabag na batas ang ABS-CBN, at sa mga sinabi ng mga bosses ng ABS-CBN na kung meron mang pagkakamali kayong nakikita, willing po kaming magbago pero nakakuha pa rin po kami ng napakaraming boto against ABS-CBN."

Angel Locsin ended her speech by encouraging her colleagues to use their voice "Nakikiusap lang ako na magkaisa tayo, Iparamdam natin kung anong kayang magawa ng industriyang ito kung sama-sama"
