"Di Niyo Ba Naririnig" is a Filipino adaptation of the song "Do You Hear the People Sing?" from the musical Les Miserables. The song was translated by Vincent de Jesus with additional lyrics by Rodey Vera and Joel Saracho. It was first performed in 2017 during an event to mark the 45th anniversary of Martial Law in the Philippines.
The music video is released one day ahead of President Rodrigo Duterte's 5th SONA. Angel Locsin, Agot Isidro, Enchong Dee, Jodi Sta. Maria, Mylene Dizon, and Iza Calzado are among the celebrities who take-part in the music video along with other musicians like Kean Cipriano of Calalily, Ebe dancel, and Noel Cabangon to name a few.
As explained in the comment's section, they came together to stand up for our basic rights as people of this free nation.
"Thank you for all your comments. This is a selfless collaboration among artists and volunteers. Like all our other videos, we welcome those who wish to contribute.
We are not here to fight with the Yellowers or DDS. We're here to stand up for our basic rights as people of this free nation.
